The electric crepe machine CFE 400 is equipped with an enameled cast iron plate (Diameter: 400 mm). The enameled coating of the plate substantially reduces the seasoning phase.

This long seasoning phase is essential when purchasing a raw cast iron plate. Indeed, cast iron is a porous material. It must be greased successively at high temperature: the surface of the cast iron then gets a patina and becomes smooth as a layer of varnish. This long and tedious seasoning avoids the oxidation of the cast iron and facilitates the baking of fine dough, like pancakes.
